Writing is the escape. It is the crack in the floor that, regardless of whether it is filled with week-old crumbs or hollow shadows, always has room for thought. Thought has no measure, no dimension in centimeters, inches, or feet; thought can fill the smallest of gaps or the largest of rooms. Writing, like thought, cannot be contained. Rather, it is a type of crack—a place to put thought—a boundless, limitless, undefined crack in the floor.
